I moved to Toronto in 2015 and began studying anthropology and became passionate about learning of the different social mechanisms and patterns that create meaning.
After building a foundation from learning how to conduct ethical, informed, and comprehensive ethnographic research based on qualitative findings, I enrolled in a Master's of Information, concentrating on User Experience Design.
Throughout the 2 year Master’s program, I received a thorough and comprehensive education in the field of User Experience Design, and its value and importance.
With my skills honed from learning how to put interlocutors and users at ease during user testing and market research, how to create detailed and functional prototypes with Figma and Adobe XD, and sifting through and analyzing copious amounts of qualitative data, I have put these skills to a variety of uses.
Over the past 4 years, I have worked with several academic and corporate teams to create dynamic, accessible, and innovative products to better allow users to be informed and connected to their society.
Through UX design, I have also found a deep love of art and abstract, mixed media design. Using the UI prototyping software Figma, I have been able to brainstorm, mock up, and iterate on artistic, creative ideas I have while living in Toronto, and bring those to life with a variety of media like resin, spray paint, and plaster, and will find ways to incorporate natural and artificial light into my designs.
